    Getting There

    Train

    From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, exit the station to the street level.

    Subway

    After exiting Grand Central Terminal, walk towards 42nd St and take the 7 subway train (Flushing Local) from Grand Central - 42nd St station. Travel one stop to Times Square - 42nd St. From there, transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 subway train and take it towards 34th St - Penn Station. Alight at 34th St - Penn Station, and you will be just a short walk away from the Empire State Building.

    Walking

    From 34th St - Penn Station, exit onto 34th St and walk east. Continue for about 5 blocks until you reach 5th Ave. Turn left on 5th Ave and walk north for 2 blocks until you reach 34th St. The Empire State Building will be on your left at 20 W 34th St.

    Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, after your train ride to Grand Central Terminal, you can catch the MTA bus M34-SBS (Select Bus Service) at 42nd St and 1st Ave. This will take you directly to 34th St and 5th Ave. From there, it's just a short walk to the Empire State Building.
