Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Avarua town center, head east along the main road, Ara Tapu. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes on your left and right. Keep an eye out for the large Te Vara Nui sign, which will be on your left side. The entrance to Te Vara Nui Village is marked clearly, and you will need to walk a short path to reach the main area.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Avarua, and head east on Ara Tapu. The ride is about 1.5 kilometers. You will cycle past local shops and cafes. Look for the large Te Vara Nui sign on your left. Once you reach the entrance, lock your bike and walk the short path to the main area of the village.

Public Transport (Bus)
Locate the nearest bus stop in Avarua, where local buses operate. Take a bus heading towards the eastern side of Rarotonga. Inform the driver that you are heading to Te Vara Nui Village. The bus will drop you off near the entrance, where you can clearly see the sign for Te Vara Nui. From there, it’s just a short walk to the main area.
