Getting There

Walking
From the center of Avarua, head south on Ara Tapu (the main road). Continue walking for approximately 4.5 kilometers. You will pass through the scenic areas of the island, including local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the beautiful coastline on your left. As you approach the village of Titikaveka, look for signs directing you to Avaavaroa Passage. Once you reach the Avaavaroa Passage area, Snorkel Cook Islands will be located along the water. Look for the entrance near the beach.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Avarua. Start your journey by cycling south on Ara Tapu. The ride is approximately 4.5 kilometers and will take you through the picturesque landscapes of Rarotonga. Follow the road signs as you enter the Titikaveka area. Once you reach Avaavaroa Passage, you will see Snorkel Cook Islands close to the water's edge. Secure your bike in a safe spot before entering.

Public Transport (Bus)
Catch the local bus from Avarua towards Muri Beach. Buses run frequently and will take you along Ara Tapu. Inform the bus driver that you are headed to Avaavaroa Passage. You will need to get off at the nearest stop to Titikaveka. From there, it’s a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Snorkel Cook Islands, following the signs towards the beach.
