From Avarua, the main town, take either the clockwise or anti-clockwise bus. The bus ride to Vaimaanga Tapere takes approximately 26 minutes. Raro Beach Bach is located on the main road (Ara Tapu) in Vaimaanga. Bus fares are around NZ$5 for a single ride or NZ$8 for a round trip. Buses operate frequently, approximately every 30 minutes, but service is limited on Sundays.

Taxis are available from anywhere on Rarotonga. Pre-booking is recommended as hailing a taxi is not common. The taxi ride from Avarua to Raro Beach Bach takes about 17 minutes. Expect to pay around NZ$29-NZ$35 for a taxi from Avarua to Vaimaanga. Always confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
