If you are in Cerro Plano, Mirador Valle Escondido Preserve is easily accessible by foot. Head east from the public school for about 150 meters. The entrance to the preserve will be on your right.

From Monteverde town center, take a local bus towards Cerro Plano. Buses run approximately every hour. Get off near the public school. Walk 150 meters east; the preserve will be on your right.

From Monteverde, drive towards the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look for signs to Cerro Plano. Continue until you reach '150 E escuela pública, Cerro Plano'. Limited parking is available. Parking on the side of the road may be necessary.
