From the center of Monteverde, take a local bus heading towards Santa Elena. The bus stop is located near the Monteverde Information Center. Confirm with the driver that they stop near Escuela Cerro Plano, which is the closest landmark to Valle Escondido. The bus ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Escuela Cerro Plano, disembark and walk about 700 meters southwest along the main road until you reach Valle Escondido Nature Reserve.

Start from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve entrance and head southwest along the main road for about 1.5 kilometers.
