Getting There

Bus
From La Fortuna, head to the main bus terminal, which is located on the corner of Calle 465 and Avenida 202. Look for the bus heading to Monteverde, which usually departs several times a day. The journey will take approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, so be prepared for a scenic ride. Once you arrive in Monteverde, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest spot to Calle 620, where Bella Vista Lodge is located. From there, you can walk to your destination.

Shared Shuttle
You can book a shared shuttle from La Fortuna to Monteverde, which is a convenient option. Many tour companies offer this service. You will be picked up from your hotel or a central location in La Fortuna. The shuttle ride takes about 3 to 4 hours and will drop you off near Bella Vista Lodge on Calle 620. Once you arrive, walk towards Bella Vista Lodge, and your destination will be next to it.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from La Fortuna to Monteverde. You can find taxis at various locations around La Fortuna, including near the main square. The ride will take approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. Inform the driver that you want to go to Calle 620 next to Bella Vista Lodge. The driver will know the location and take you directly there.

Walking
If you are within walking distance, from the main square of La Fortuna, head south on Avenida 202 towards Calle 465. Continue straight until you reach the bus terminal. From there, you can follow the directions above to take public transport or a taxi to Monteverde.
