Located at the eastern end of Stradun, near Luža Square, the Small Onofrio's Fountain is a charming octagonal fountain with historical significance. Designed by Onofrio della Cava and completed in 1446, it was created to mark the completion of the city's water supply system in 1438. The fountain provided water to nearby markets, the Rector's Palace, and the citizens of Dubrovnik. The fountain features Renaissance and Gothic elements, with detailed reliefs of nude baby-boys, dolphins, shells and maskerons. The sculptures were crafted by Pietro di Martino of Milan. The fountain was damaged during the war in 1991 but has been restored. Today, the Small Onofrio's Fountain continues to offer fresh drinking water to visitors and locals alike. It also serves as a stage for performances of Marin Držić's play, 'The Tale of Stanac'.
