Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start in the town of Pomena on Mljet Island. From the center of Pomena, head north on the main road, following signs for the National Park. Continue along the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the entrance to the National Park. From there, you can access a hiking trail leading to Prosjeka viewpoint. The hike will take approximately 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a local bus to Pomena from the larger town of Sobra. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Pomena, you can follow the same directions as for car travelers. Head north on the main road towards the National Park entrance, park your bus ticket at the entrance, and begin your hike to the Prosjeka viewpoint.

• Walking

  If you are staying in Pomena or nearby, you can walk to the Prosjeka viewpoint. Start by heading north on the main road, then turn onto the hiking trail at the marked sign for the National Park. The trail is well-marked and will lead you to the viewpoint in about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to wear suitable footwear and carry some water, as the path can be steep in places.
