A Serene Escape at Silver Lake Park

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the downtown area of Dover, head north on State Street towards Washington Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street, and after a short walk of about 0.3 miles, you will see Silver Lake Park on your right. The entrance to the park is marked, and you can enjoy the views of the lake and surrounding nature.

• Biking

  From the Delaware State Capitol building, exit onto William Penn Street heading west. Continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach State Street. Turn right onto State Street and bike north for approximately 0.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with Washington Street, turn left. Silver Lake Park will be on your right after about 0.3 miles. There are bike racks available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer to use public transport, you can take the DART First State bus service. Board the Route 103 bus from the nearest stop in downtown Dover. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the intersection of Washington Street and Silver Lake Park. From there, it’s just a short walk of about 0.1 miles to the park entrance.
