The Syndicate Nature Trail, located in the foothills of Morne Diablotin, Dominica's highest mountain, is a celebrated hiking path in Morne Diablotin National Park, adjacent to the Northern Forest Reserve. Constructed in 1993 with support from the RARE Centre for Tropical Conservation and Birdlife International, the trail provides visitors with a genuine rainforest experience and is a prime birding location.The trail itself is a loop, approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) to 1.7 miles (2.8 km) in length, making it suitable for hikers of various fitness levels. The area was once slated for logging. The trail was temporarily closed following the devastation of Hurricane Maria in September 2017 but was reopened in 2018 after considerable efforts to clear and restore access.
