Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Highland Valleys. Head east on Avenida Principal and continue on this road for approximately 15 km. Look for the signs indicating the direction towards La Maná. After about 10 km, you will pass through a small town; continue straight. After passing the Enermax power plant, look for a sign that indicates 'Imperial Zapanal - 7 Cascadas & Campamento Turístico'. Turn left onto the access road and follow it until you reach the entrance. Make sure to check the road conditions, as it can be rugged in parts.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Imperial Zapanal via public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Highland Valleys. Look for buses heading to La Maná or Estero Hondo. The bus ride will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the Enermax power plant. From there, you can either walk approximately 3 km to the entrance of Imperial Zapanal or arrange for a local taxi to take you the rest of the way. Be sure to confirm the fare before getting into the taxi.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Highland Valleys to Imperial Zapanal. This option will be more costly, ranging from $15 to $25 depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the campamento turístico, which is approximately 10 km from the town center. Ensure you have a way to contact the driver for the return trip, as taxi services may be limited in remote areas.
