Public Transport
From Clermont-Ferrand, a shuttle bus service operates to Vulcania during school holidays (Summer, Autumn, Spring, Ascension, and Pentecost). The shuttle departs from the Clermont-Ferrand SNCF train station (platform 5) and stops at various points in the city, Chamalières, Royat, and Orcines before arriving at Vulcania. A single ticket costs €1.60, making a round trip €3.20. The journey takes approximately 27 minutes. Check the T2C website for the most up-to-date schedule, as times may vary depending on the season. The shuttle is free on weekends.

Taxi/Ride-Share
From Clermont-Ferrand, a taxi or ride-share service is a direct and convenient option. The journey to Vulcania takes approximately 20 minutes, costing between €35 and €45. Several taxi companies operate in Clermont-Ferrand, including Taxi 63, Eurotaxis Clermontois and Allo Taxi Radio. This is a good option if you are travelling outside of the shuttle bus operating times or prefer a more private and direct transfer.

Driving
If driving from Clermont-Ferrand, take the D941 towards Vulcania. The journey is approximately 16 km and takes around 20 minutes. Parking at Vulcania is free. Be aware that during peak season, the car parks can get busy, so arrive early. The parking lots and entrance desks are accessible until 2 hours before the Park closes.
