Public Transport
From Clermont-Ferrand, the most convenient way to reach Planetarium De Vulcania is by taking the Vulcania shuttle. This shuttle operates daily during the summer French school holidays and with advance booking (48 hours notice) during spring and fall school holidays. The shuttle departs from the Clermont-Ferrand SNCF train station (Platform 5) and makes several stops in Clermont-Ferrand, Chamalières, Royat and Orcines before arriving at Vulcania. A single ticket costs €1.60 and is valid for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from the driver (cash only) or at ticket machines. From the Vulcania park entrance, the planetarium is within easy walking distance, following the park's internal signage.

From Clermont-Ferrand, a taxi or ride-share service offers a direct route to Planetarium De Vulcania. The journey typically takes around 24 minutes, covering approximately 22 kilometers. Expect to pay between €45 and €60 for the ride. Upon arrival at Vulcania, follow the park's internal signs to reach the planetarium within the park.
