Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, drive towards the town of Orcines. From the A75 motorway, take exit 4 towards Clermont-Ferrand/Orcines. Follow the signs for D941 towards Orcines. Once you arrive in Orcines, follow the signs for Puy de Dôme. There is a dedicated parking area near the base of the volcano. Please note that there is a parking fee of around €6 for the day.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train to Clermont-Ferrand. From the Clermont-Ferrand train station, take tram line A towards La Pardieu and get off at the stop 'Place de Jaude'. From there, you can catch bus line 12 (Puy de Dôme) which will take you directly to the base of the volcano. The bus fare is approximately €2.60 one way.
