Getting There

  • Air Travel & Boat

    To reach Tepoto Atoll, fly into Tahiti's Faa'a International Airport (PPT). From there, take a domestic flight with Air Tahiti to either Tikehau or Rangiroa. Domestic flights range from $150 to $300 USD. From either island, arrange a boat transfer to Tepoto Atoll with a local charter service. Boat transfers should be booked in advance and typically cost between $100 to $200 USD, depending on the provider and group size. The boat ride can take several hours.

  • Local Transportation (Mangareva) & Boat

    Alternatively, to reach Tepoto from the main island of Mangareva, drive to the Rikitea jetty. From the airport, take Route 1 towards Rikitea; the drive is about 15 minutes. Parking is available at the jetty. Then, take a local boat service to Tepoto, which operates several times a week. Check the schedule in advance. A bus or taxi from the airport to Rikitea is also an option, with bus fare around 1,000 CFP. The boat ride to Tepoto takes 1-2 hours and costs 5,000 to 10,000 CFP per person; booking in advance is advised.
