    From Tbilisi, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Didube bus station to Shatili. The marshrutka typically departs twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) during the summer months (June to October), but in 2025 it departs only once a week, on Saturdays at 10:00 AM. The journey takes approximately 5-7 hours. As of 2020, the cost is around 20 GEL per person. Confirm the schedule and book tickets in advance, as the marshrutka can be full. From the Shatili drop-off point, the visitor center is a short walk away.

    From Tbilisi, a taxi to Shatili takes approximately 3 hours and costs between $60-$75 (USD). Taxis offer a direct and faster route compared to public transport. Negotiate the fare beforehand. Once in Shatili, the visitor center is easily accessible on foot.
