Getting There

  • Walking

    From Gostenhof, head north on Gostenhofer Strasse toward the intersection with Fürther Strasse. Turn right onto Fürther Strasse and continue walking straight. After about 800 meters, you'll reach the 'Plärrer' tram stop. From here, you can catch tram line 9 in the direction of 'Ziegelstein'. Stay on the tram for approximately 4 stops (about 10 minutes) until you arrive at 'Opernhaus' stop.

    Once you exit at 'Opernhaus', head towards the pedestrian zone and follow the signs for 'Burg'. Walk straight onto Richard-Wagner-Platz, then take the first left onto Königstraße. Continue walking straight until you reach the 'Burg' (Imperial Castle) on your right. The total walking distance from the tram stop is about 1 kilometer, which should take around 12-15 minutes.

    Alternatively, from Gostenhof, you can take bus line 36 from the 'Gostenhof' bus stop, heading towards 'Falkenheim'. After about 5 minutes and 3 stops, get off at 'Plärrer'. From there, transfer to tram line 9 towards 'Ziegelstein' and follow the same instructions as above to reach 'Opernhaus' and then walk to the castle.
