If you are starting from Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), exit the station and head towards the main road (Büchnerstraße). Turn left onto the street and walk straight until you reach the first major intersection. Cross the intersection and continue straight along the road, which will become Bahnhofstraße. Follow Bahnhofstraße until you reach the Residenzplatz, which will be on your right after approximately 1.5 km. Look for the large baroque building of the Würzburg Residence as you approach the square.

From Würzburg Hauptbahnhof, you can take bus line 4 or 10. Board the bus at the main station and ride for about 5 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Residenz' which is located directly adjacent to Residenzplatz. From the bus stop, you can walk a few steps and you will be at the square.

If you prefer to take the tram, you can board tram line 1 or 3 from the nearby stop 'Hauptbahnhof'. Travel for two stops and get off at 'Residenzplatz'. The tram will drop you off right at the square, allowing you to explore the area immediately.

If you are renting a bike, start from the city center and navigate towards Residenzplatz by following the bike paths. Head southeast towards the main road (Büchnerstraße), turn left onto it, and continue straight. You will find designated bike lanes that lead directly to the Residenzplatz area.
