Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Würzburg Residenz, exit the palace grounds and head towards the main road, Residenzplatz. Walk straight down the road until you reach the intersection with Bismarckstraße. Turn right onto Bismarckstraße and continue for about 500 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes. As you approach the end of Bismarckstraße, you will see a large park area on your left. The DenkOrt Memorial is located in this park. It is marked by a large stone structure. Follow the park pathway to find the memorial.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the main train station (Würzburg Hauptbahnhof), walk to the bus stop located directly outside the station. Take bus line 14 or 16 towards 'Würzburg Zellerau'. After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Kurt-Schuhmacher-Straße' stop. From there, walk back towards the main street and turn left onto Bismarckstraße. Continue straight until you reach the park entrance on your right, where the DenkOrt Memorial is located.

    Starting from the Market Square (Marktplatz) in the city center, head southwest towards the Main River. Cross the bridge (Alte Mainbrücke) and continue straight onto Franziskanergasse. Follow this street as it curves to the right and becomes Bismarckstraße. After approximately 800 meters, look for the entrance to the park on your left. The DenkOrt Memorial is situated within this park area.
