Getting There

  • Metro

    If you are starting from Syntagma Square, head to the Syntagma Metro Station and take Line 3 (the blue line) towards the 'Dafni' direction. After 3 stops, get off at 'Monastiraki' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards 'Thisseio'. Exit the station and walk straight, keeping the Ancient Agora on your left. Continue walking straight until you reach Areos Street. Turn left on Areos Street, and the Basilica of Megale Panagia will be on your right at Areos 3.

    From Omonia Square, find the bus stop for bus number 022, which travels towards 'Kifisia'. Get on the bus and ride for 6 stops. Get off at the stop 'Areos Street'. Once you exit the bus, walk straight down Areos Street for about 3 minutes. The Basilica of Megale Panagia will be on your left at Areos 3.
