Getting There

Walking
From Koules Fortress, exit the fortress grounds and head towards the seafront promenade. You should see the Mediterranean Sea directly in front of you. Turn left and walk along the promenade, taking in the views of the harbor. Continue walking for about 300 meters, and you will see the entrance to Heraklion Venetian Port, which is marked by a large round structure and several boats. The port is located at I. Merineli 2, Iraklio 712 02.

Public Transport (Bus)
Although the Venetian Port is very close to Koules Fortress, if you wish to take public transport, you can walk to the nearest bus stop called 'Koules' which is approximately 200 meters from the fortress. From there, take a local bus that heads towards the city center or the port area. A ticket costs around 1.20 EUR and can be purchased from machines at the bus stop or on the bus. Get off at the next stop which is 'Venetian Port' and you will be at your destination.
