If you're traveling by car, navigate to the village of Litochoro, which is the main gateway to Mount Olympus. From Litochoro, head towards the E65 highway and follow the signs towards the Mount Olympus National Park. Drive to the Prionia parking area, located at an elevation of 1,100 meters (about 18 km from Litochoro). Parking fees may apply, typically around €3-€5 for a day. Once parked, you will need to continue your journey on foot.

Hiking
From Prionia, follow the well-marked E4 hiking trail towards the Refuge A (Refugio A). The hike is approximately 2-3 hours and will take you to about 2,650 meters. After reaching Refuge A, continue on the trail that leads towards Skolió. This section requires a good level of fitness and experience in mountain hiking. The final ascent to Skolió (2,905.2 meters) can be challenging and takes about 1-2 hours from the Refuge, depending on your pace.

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Thessaloniki to Litochoro. The bus service operates several times a day and costs approximately €10-€15. Once in Litochoro, you can either walk to the Prionia parking area (about 18 km) or take a taxi (costing around €20-€30). From Prionia, you will proceed on foot as detailed above.
