Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Rethymno Old Town, head towards the main street, Arkadiou Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ethnikis Antistaseos Street. Turn left and follow this street until you reach the sea. From there, turn right onto the waterfront promenade, and walk along the coast. This promenade will take you past various cafes and shops. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will see signs for Milatos Beach. Follow the signs, and after approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Church of Agia Irini, located near the beachfront.

  • Public Transport

    Begin at the Rethymno Bus Station, which is centrally located. Take a bus heading to Milatos Beach; you can ask the ticket seller for the most current route. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Milatos Beach, disembark the bus and head towards the beach area. The Church of Agia Irini is a short walk from the bus stop. Just follow the seaside road for approximately 10 minutes, and you will find the church on your left.
