From the center of Rethymno, head southeast towards the Old Town. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the bus station (KTEL Rethymnou). Here, take the bus towards Matala or Moires. Get off at the Kamilari stop. From there, walk towards the village center and follow the signs for the Minoan Palace of Phaistos, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
