Getting There

  • Car

    From the entrance of Samaria Gorge, drive towards Chania. After exiting the gorge, take the road to Chania. Follow the signs for E65 and continue for about 35 km. Once you reach Chania, navigate to Vivilaki 28. You can use a GPS device or a map application to guide you. The destination, Tampakaria, will be on your right side. There is usually available parking nearby, but be prepared for possible parking fees.

  • Public Transportation

    After completing the hike through Samaria Gorge, take a bus from the exit of the gorge to Chania. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately 10 euros. Once you arrive at the Chania bus station, you can either walk or take a local bus to Vivilaki 28. If walking, head northeast on Kydonias Street towards Vivilaki Street. Continue straight until you reach your destination at 28 Vivilaki. If you decide to take a local bus, check the local schedule for routes heading to your destination.

  • Taxi

    Upon exiting Samaria Gorge, you can also opt for a taxi to take you directly to Tampakaria in Chania. Taxis are available outside the gorge entrance. The ride should take around 40 minutes and cost approximately 50-60 euros. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
