From the center of Vác, head to the Váci train station (Vác Vasútállomás). Take the train towards Budapest. Get off at the 'Batthyány tér' station in Budapest. From there, transfer to the tram line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Ride the tram for 4 stops and get off at 'Széll Kálmán tér'. From Széll Kálmán tér, you can take bus 63 or 63A towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. Get off at the 'Gyermekvasúthoz vezető út' stop. Walk about 5 minutes along Gyermekvasúthoz vezető út to reach the Children's Railway.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, from Váci train station, you can walk towards the Danube River and follow the riverbank towards Budapest. This is a longer route and will take approximately 2 hours but offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the city, head to the 'Széll Kálmán tér' area and follow the previous public transport instructions from there.
