Getting There

Car
From Húsavík, drive southeast on Route 85 towards Ásbyrgi. After approximately 58 kilometers, you will reach the junction for Route 1 (the Ring Road). Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for about 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Ásbyrgi and take Route 862 to the left. Follow Route 862 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Gljúfrastofa - Ásbyrgi Visitor Centre, which will be on your right. Parking is available on-site, and there are no entry fees for the visitor center.

Public Transport
Take a bus from Húsavík to Kópasker. Check the local bus schedule for the latest timings, as they may vary. Upon arrival at Kópasker, you can arrange for a taxi to take you the remaining 9 kilometers to the Gljúfrastofa - Ásbyrgi Visitor Centre. Be sure to confirm the taxi fare with the driver before starting your journey. Note that bus services may not run frequently, so planning ahead is essential.
