From Húsavík, head east on Route 85 for about 30 km until you reach the junction with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for approximately 37 km. Look for the signs for Ásbyrgi and take the exit onto Route 862. Follow Route 862 for about 13 km until you arrive at the Ásbyrgi area. Once in Ásbyrgi, follow the signs to Botnstjörn, which is located at coordinates 65.9985315, -16.5135797. Make sure to park in the designated areas.

From Húsavík, take the bus to Akureyri. This will require checking the local bus schedule on Sterna or other regional bus services. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 2,000 ISK. Once in Akureyri, transfer to a bus heading towards Ásbyrgi. The bus ride to Ásbyrgi takes about 1 hour and costs around 1,500 ISK. After arriving at Ásbyrgi, walk approximately 1 km to reach Botnstjörn, following the signs in the area.
