Getting There

From the center of Kopavogur, start at the Kopavogur Church (Kopavogskirkja). Head east on Smaralind street towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 41 (Reykjavik Road). Cross at the pedestrian lights to reach the bus stop on the other side of the road.

Take bus number 14 towards 'Bústaðavegur'. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Rauðavatn' bus stop. This is a scenic area with beautiful views.

From the 'Rauðavatn' bus stop, head north towards the lake. Follow the path that runs along the edge of the lake. After approximately 500 meters, you will see a sign pointing towards Helgufoss. Follow this sign, which will guide you through a woodland area.
