    From Reykjavík Capital Area, head northeast on Suðurlandsbraut/Ground Road (Route 1). Continue on Route 1 for about 10 km until you reach the exit for Mosfellsbær. Take this exit and follow the signs for Mosfellsbær, merging onto Mosfellsheiði (Route 36). Continue straight for approximately 3 km, and then turn right onto Álafossvegur. After about 1 km, you will arrive at Álafoss Waterfall, which will be on your right. There is free parking available nearby.
