If you are traveling by car from the town of Selfoss, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading west. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the town of Hveragerði. At Hveragerði, take the exit onto Route 38 (Hveragerðissvæðið) heading towards Reykjavík. Continue on this route for approximately 35 km until you reach Reykjavík. Once in Reykjavík, follow signs for Flugvallarvegur, and navigate to Flugvallarvegur 101. The WWII ruins are located nearby, and you can park in the surrounding areas.

To reach the WWII Ruins via public transportation from Vík í Mýrdal, take a bus to Reykjavík. You can use the Strætó bus service (Route 51) which operates from Vík to Reykjavík. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavík, transfer to a local bus (Route 1 or 3) heading towards the city center. Get off at the stop closest to Flugvallarvegur, and walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Flugvallarvegur 101, where you can find the WWII ruins.
