If you are driving to Þingvellir - Hakið útsýnispallur, start by entering Þingvellir National Park through the main entrance. Once you are inside the park, follow the main road (Route 36) towards the visitor center. Continue on this road for approximately 5 minutes until you see a sign for Hakið útsýnispallur. Turn left at the sign and follow the short gravel road that leads to the observation deck parking area. Once parked, it’s a short walk to the observation deck.

To reach Þingvellir - Hakið útsýnispallur using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Þingvellir National Park. The bus departs from the BSI Bus Terminal, and you will need to check the current schedule as it may vary by season. Once you arrive at the park, follow the signs towards the visitor center. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 km) or take a local shuttle service (if available) to Hakið útsýnispallur. Be sure to check in advance for shuttle options, as they may not run frequently.

If you are already within Þingvellir National Park and wish to walk to Hakið útsýnispallur, first locate the visitor center. From the visitor center, follow the marked path that leads westward. This scenic walk is approximately 1.5 km and will take around 30 minutes. Enjoy the stunning landscapes along the way as you make your way to the observation deck.
