Purchased by Joseph "Boss" Willoughby and his wife Hannah around 1922, the farm was a family-sustained operation for over 70 years. In 2002, it was sold and preserved as a public park. The farm features a pre-Civil War Gindler Barn, a 1920s Sears-style Craftsman farmhouse, and an 1870s Bank Barn filled with antique tools. The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners maintain a 1940s-style garden with herbs, flowers, vegetables, and berries. Visitors can observe pigs, chickens, and goats in their pens. Explore over three miles of hiking trails through woodlands and prairie, offering scenic views. Children can enjoy farm-themed play equipment. The Collinsville Area Recreation District hosts special events and programs throughout the year.
