From the center of Darjeeling, head towards the Chowrasta (the main square). You can take a short walk or ask locals for directions. Once at Chowrasta, follow the road leading to Mall Road. After about 500 meters, you will reach the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) station. Here, you can take a toy train to Ghum Station. The train ride offers beautiful views and takes about 40 minutes. At Ghum Station, exit the train and walk towards the Ghum Monastery. From Ghum, you can start your trek towards Sandakphu. The trek typically takes about 5-7 days depending on your pace and chosen route.
