    If you are driving, start from Tanjung Pinang, the capital of Riau Islands. Head southeast on Jl. Raya Soekarno-Hatta for about 30 km. Follow the signs for Bintan and continue until you reach the Gunung Kijang area. Look for signs directing you to Teluk Bakau, where the ferry terminal to Nikoi Island is located. Parking is available at the terminal for a small fee (approximately IDR 20,000 per day).

    From Tanjung Pinang, take a minibus (angkot) or taxi to the Gunung Kijang area. This ride should cost around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000.
