If you are near the Urbandale City Hall, walk to the nearest bus stop at 3600 86th St. Board the bus number 1 towards Downtown Des Moines. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the '5th & Main' stop in Ames. From there, walk east on Main St for about 5 minutes until you reach 5th St. Turn left and walk a short distance to arrive at the Durham Bandshell.

If you prefer to bike, start from the Urbandale Community Center located at 6800 Douglas Ave. Head northwest on Douglas Ave towards 70th St. Turn left onto 70th St and continue until you reach the intersection with Hickman Rd. Turn right onto Hickman Rd and follow the bike lanes as you ride towards Ames. After approximately 5 miles, make a left onto Main St in Ames. Continue on Main St until you reach E 5th St. The Durham Bandshell will be on your right.
