The primary way to reach Trá Inis Oirr is by ferry. Ferries operate from Doolin in County Clare (seasonal, April to October) and Rossaveel in Connemara (year-round). From Doolin, the ferry journey is approximately 15 minutes. From Rossaveel, the ferry takes about 55 minutes. A round-trip ticket from Doolin costs approximately €32 for adults. From Rossaveel, a round-trip ticket is about €30. Once on Inis Oirr, the beach is a short walk from the pier.

Upon arrival at the Inis Oirr ferry pier, Trá Inis Oirr is easily accessible by foot. From the pier, follow the main road north towards the village. The beach is located on the northern side of the island and is well signposted. The walk from the pier to the beach is approximately 5-10 minutes and offers scenic views of the island. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the beach.
