    From the center of Athlone, head to the bus station located at 1, Bus Station, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. You can take Bus Éireann route 23 towards Moate. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Alight at the stop closest to Lake Road in Moate. From the bus stop, walk along Lake Road for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Dún Na Sí Amenity & Heritage Park. The park is located at Lake Road, Knockdomny, Moate, Co. Westmeath, N37 P271.

    If you are in central Athlone and prefer walking, you can start at Athlone Castle. Head southwest on Castle Street, then turn left onto Church Street. Continue straight as this road becomes the R362. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach a junction. Turn right onto the N6 towards Moate. Follow the N6 for about 3 km until you see signs for Moate. Once in Moate, turn left onto Lake Road and walk about 1 km to reach Dún Na Sí Amenity & Heritage Park.
