    If driving from Galway City, take the N83 road towards Tuam. After approximately 14 km, take the first exit onto the R348 road toward Belclare. Continue on this road for about 5 km, and you will see signs for Knockma Forest Trail. Turn left onto the road leading to the forest entrance. There is free parking available at the entrance.

    To reach Knockma Wood via public transport, take a bus from Galway City to Tuam. Bus Éireann Route 438 operates from Galway Cathedral to Tuam Vicar Street. From Tuam, take a taxi to Knockma Wood, approximately 12 km away. Alternatively, Bus Eireann Route 409 towards Tuam and get off at the stop in Belclare. From there, it is approximately a 2 km walk to the Knockma Forest Trail entrance. Head southeast on the R348 road, following the signs for Knockma Forest Trail. Bus fare from Belclare to Galway is approximately €6-€8.

    If you are in Belclare, you can walk to Knockma Forest Trail. From the center of Belclare, head southeast on the R348 road for about 2 km until you reach the entrance of Knockma Forest Trail on your left. The walk is scenic and gives you a chance to enjoy the rural landscape of County Galway.
