Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Drogheda town center, head south on West Street towards the River Boyne. Continue straight until you reach the bridge (Drogheda Bridge). Cross the bridge and follow the road to the right onto the R132. Continue on this road for about 12 km. Once you reach Dún Laoghaire, look for signs directing you to Haigh Terrace. The National Maritime Museum of Ireland will be located on your left at Haigh Terrace.

    From Drogheda, walk to the Drogheda Bus Station located near the town center. Take Bus Route 100 or 101 towards Dublin and get off at the Dún Laoghaire stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards Haigh Terrace. The National Maritime Museum of Ireland is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop; head towards the coast and follow the signs to the museum.

    From Drogheda Train Station, take a train towards Dublin Connolly. When you arrive at Dublin Connolly, transfer to the DART service (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) towards Bray or Greystones. Alight at the Dún Laoghaire station. From the Dún Laoghaire station, exit the station and head towards Haigh Terrace, which is a 15-minute walk where the National Maritime Museum of Ireland is located.
