Getting There

  • Bus

    From central Modi'in, head to the Modi'in Central Bus Station. Take bus number 49 towards Jerusalem. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the last stop in Jerusalem, which is near the entrance to the Old City. From there, follow the signs to the City of David, which is about a 15-minute walk. You will pass through the Old City and see the iconic walls of Jerusalem. Continue straight until you reach the City of David entrance.

  • Train

    Make your way to the Modi'in train station. Board a train heading to Jerusalem Malha Station. The trip takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive, exit the station and take bus number 74 from the nearby bus stop towards the Old City. Disembark at the stop closest to the City of David after approximately 15 minutes. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the entrance.

  • Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to the City of David from central Modi'in. Start at the main square and head towards the east, following the path that leads to the train station. Continue along the main road until you reach the junction with Route 431. Follow Route 431 south until you reach the outskirts of Jerusalem. This walk will take about 2 hours, so be prepared with water and comfortable shoes. Once you reach Jerusalem, follow signs to the City of David, which is only a short distance away.
