Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Varenna via the SS36 highway. Once you reach Varenna, look for signs directing you to the town center and the ferry terminal. Park your car at one of the nearby parking lots, such as 'Parcheggio Varenna' (Parking Varenna). From the parking lot, walk towards the waterfront, and you will find the Floating Platform located at Molo Riva Grande, just a short 5-minute walk from the parking area.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train from Milan to Varenna-Esino station. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Varenna-Esino station, exit the station and walk down the hill towards the lake. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Once at the terminal, head to Molo Riva Grande, where the Floating Platform is located, just a few minutes away from the ferry terminal.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, take a bus from Lecco to Varenna. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Varenna bus stop, follow the signs down to the waterfront. The Floating Platform is located at Molo Riva Grande, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop along the scenic lakeside path.

• Ferry

  If you are already in another town on Lake Como, you can reach Varenna by ferry. Check the ferry schedule for departures to Varenna from your current location (e.g., Bellagio or Menaggio). Upon arriving at Varenna's ferry terminal, you can walk to Molo Riva Grande, which is just a short distance from the terminal, taking around 5 minutes on foot.
