If you are in Portofino and want to drive to Piazza della Meridiana in Genoa, first head east on Via Roma towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the SP227 road. Take the SP227, which will lead you along the coast. Follow this road for about 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views. Once you reach the junction, take the exit onto A12 towards Genoa. Follow the A12 for about 25 kilometers. When you approach Genoa, take the exit marked 'Genova Centro' to enter the city. Once in the city, follow the signs for 'Centro' and look for parking options nearby. Piazza della Meridiana is located in the heart of the city, so parking will be relatively accessible.

To get to Piazza della Meridiana from Portofino using public transport, first, take the local bus line 82 from Portofino to Santa Margherita Ligure. The bus stop is close to the main square in Portofino. Once in Santa Margherita, transfer to the train station and take a train towards Genoa. The journey lasts about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Genoa Brignole station, exit the station and take a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Piazza della Meridiana. Simply follow the signs towards the city center, and you will see the square ahead.
