Getting There

    If you're driving, head towards Route 1 and follow the signs for Hakone. From Hakone, take Route 734 towards Lake Ashi. Continue until you reach the Motohakone area. Hakone Shrine is located at 80-1 Motohakone, which is directly by the lake. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a fee, typically around 500 yen for a few hours.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Hakone Yumoto Station, take the Hakone Tozan Bus (bound for Togendai) and ride for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Motohakone' bus stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) to Hakone Shrine, following the signs towards the lake.
