Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Hakone and head towards the National Route 1 (also known as Route 1). Follow Route 1 southbound for about 13 km. After passing the town of Atami, look for signs indicating Izusan Shrine. Turn left onto Izusan Road and follow it for about 3 km until you reach the shrine. There is parking available near the shrine, which may incur a small fee, typically around ¥500.

  • Public Transportation (Train + Bus)

    Begin by taking the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Odawara Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tōkaidō Line towards Atami and get off at Atami Station (a journey of about 20 minutes). Once at Atami Station, exit and head to the bus terminal located near the station. Take the Izusan Line bus towards Izusan, which takes about 15 minutes. Get off at Izusan Shrine bus stop, and from there, it's a short walk to the shrine entrance.

    From Hakone, take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station. From Odawara, take the JR Tōkaidō Line to Atami Station.
