If you are driving from central Hakone, head towards Route 1 (also known as Odawara-Atsugi Road). Follow the signs towards Kamakura, as Shimonosui Shrine is located in Kamakura. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes based on traffic conditions. Once you arrive in Kamakura, navigate to 2 Chome-25-16 Sasuke, where the shrine is located. There is limited parking available near the shrine, so plan accordingly.

Train and Walk
For those using public transportation, take the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station towards Odawara Station. At Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and head towards Kamakura Station. The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Kamakura Station, exit the station and take the East Exit. You can either take a local bus or enjoy a 20-minute walk towards the shrine. The walking route will take you through the scenic streets of Kamakura. If you choose to take the bus, catch the bus heading towards Sasuke, which is a short ride to the stop nearest to the shrine. Be prepared for a small bus fare, typically around 200 yen.

Alternatively, if you prefer a direct bus route, you can take the Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus from Hakone to Kamakura. Board the bus at the Hakone-Yumoto Station and enjoy a scenic ride. The journey will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Kamakura, you can take a local bus or taxi to reach the shrine at 2 Chome-25-16 Sasuke. The local bus fare is about 200 yen.
