Getting There

• Car

  From Hida's city center, begin your journey by heading southwest on Route 158. Follow the signs for Takayama and continue for about 15 kilometers. As you enter Takayama, look for signs directing you to the city center. Once you reach the vicinity of 4 Chome-3 Tenmanmachi, Takayama, Gifu 506-0025, you will find Takayamazenko Temple on your left. There is limited parking available near the temple, so be prepared to find a spot in a nearby lot if the temple's parking is full.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Starting from the Takayama Station, take the bus heading towards 'Shirakawago' or 'Hida Furukawa'. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Tenmanmachi' bus stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Takayamazenko Temple. As you exit the bus, head northeast on Tenmanmachi street; the temple will be located at 4 Chome-3 Tenmanmachi on your right.

• Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

  If you are coming from Hida Furukawa Station, take the JR Takayama Line train to Takayama Station, which takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takayama Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards 'Shirakawago' or 'Hida Furukawa'. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Tenmanmachi' bus stop, and from there, it is a 5-minute walk to the temple located at 4 Chome-3 Tenmanmachi, Takayama, Gifu 506-0025.
