If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Hiroshima city center. Use the expressway entrance and take the Sanyo Expressway (E2) towards Okayama. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit for Hiroshima Nishi IC. Follow the signs for Route 54 towards Hiroshima. Continue on Route 54 until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Turn left onto Route 2 and follow it until you reach Noboricho. The Assumption of Mary Cathedral will be on your left at 4-42 Noboricho, Naka Ward. Note that parking might be limited, so look for nearby parking facilities.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by taking the JR Sanyo Line from any station in the Hiroshima countryside towards Hiroshima Station. Once at Hiroshima Station, transfer to the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) and take the tram (Line 1 or Line 2) towards Hiroshima Port. Get off at the Kencho-mae stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the cathedral. Head north on Noboricho street, and you will find the Assumption of Mary Cathedral at 4-42 Noboricho, Naka Ward. Ensure you have a transport card topped up, as tram fares are typically around 200 yen.
