    From Hiroshima Castle, exit the castle grounds and head south towards the river. Walk along the main road (Hiroshima Peace Boulevard) towards the south. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes on foot). You will pass several parks and memorials along the way. Keep an eye out for the large Peace Memorial Park on your left. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is located at 1-2 Nakajimacho, Naka Ward, directly adjacent to the park.

  • Public Transportation - Tram

    From Hiroshima Castle, walk to the nearest tram station, 'Hiroshima Castle' Station. Take the Hiroshima Electric Railway tram line 1 (Green Line) towards 'Eba' or 'Hondori' (make sure to check the display for the correct tram). It takes about 5 minutes to reach 'Genbaku Dome-mae' Station. Once you disembark at 'Genbaku Dome-mae', walk south for about 5 minutes. The museum will be on your right. The tram fare is approximately 200 yen.
